Vance Middle School students will travel to Steele Creek Park for a school-wide project.  The focus on this project is the importance of water in a community.  The project will address learning standards in Science, Math, Language Arts and Social Studies.

While at Steele Creek Park, Students will rotate through learning stations and eat lunch.  Students may bring their packed lunch or get a bagged lunch from the cafeteria.

Two of the learning stations involve students getting in the creek.  This will require students to dress accordingly.  Students should wear comfortable clothes and bring a change of clothes with them that day.  Students should wear shoes that are appropriate for walking in the creek, such as water shoes, chaco’s, teva sandals, old tennis shoes, etc.

Permission slips have already been sent home.  Please return the signed permission slip along with $2 to cover the cost of the trip by Friday, September 29.
