Meet Ms. Eads

I graduated from Tennessee High School in May 2005.  The following fall, I began at East Tennessee State University where I sang in the ETSU Chorale on scholarship.  While in the choir, I had the wonderful opportunity of traveling to Germany, France, and Spain to sing in magnificent cathedrals.  I sang in Notre Dame Cathedral, Chartres Cathedral, and La Madeleine Cathedral in Paris, France.  While in France, I also went up on the Eiffel Tower and toured the Louvre Museum where I saw the original Mona Lisa painting and the statue of the Greek goddess Nike.  I student taught at Mountain View Elementary in the fall of 2009.  In December of 2009, I received my Bachelor of Science in Education from East Tennessee State University.  The following spring, I began substitute teaching for various grade levels.  It was during this time that I felt middle school is where I belonged.  During the school year 2010-2011, I was an Educational Assistant on the Pathfinder Team.  During this time, I took the classes and tests necessary in order to become certified to teach middle school.  In May 2011, I completed all the requirements and obtained my middle school add-on.  In the summer of 2011, I taught the science summer school class here at Vance.  Now, here I am, teaching 8th grade science and couldn't be more excited!  I enjoy playing softball and  coaching the softball team here at Vance, as well as cheerleading.  I also enjoy watching and playing other sports such as football, basketball, and golf.
